Azam Khan, the batsman and wicketkeeper for Pakistan, took an unexpected action on Sunday when he either erased or concealed all of his Instagram postings for an unknown cause.

This gave rise to conjecture on social media, according to which Azam decided to stand down after supporters criticised his fitness and inclusion in the T20 World Cup team.

Azam has always been the target of harsh abuse because to his weight, but he has demonstrated his abilities in both domestic and international T20 league competitions.

Azam has been a regular Instagram user, occasionally posting his photos and videos to the social media platform.

The batter has not provided an explanation for why his Instagram posts suddenly stopped appearing.
